Music players should make it effortless to find something to play and get out of your way. That’s why Plum’s interface is simple, snappy and focused only on library browsing and playback. There is no discovery here, no ads for the newest Drake album, no streaming statistics and no “For You” sections.
This entire app has been made for you, me and other music fans around the world who find that listening to music was more fun before it became a numbers game filled with ads.

Appreciate albums again

Albums are works of art and are essential to understanding artist's intent.
With big artworks across the app, interface colors that change based on what's currently playing as well as trivias pulled from various sources like Last.fm or Apple Music it's difficult not to appreciate every one of them.Rotate the phone if you want to make browsing your collection feel like going through the finest record store's selection.

Your favourites easily accessible

When somebody asks you
“What artists do you listen to? What are your favourite albums?”
It’s easy to get lost in all the possible answers. After all, your impeccable taste has led you to listen to hundreds of masterpieces.
So how do you pick something to respond with? Simply open Plum’s Favourites page. It has your all-time favourite music, presented beautifully with big artworks and artist photos.
Each time you launch the app the order of Favourites is shuffled so you never know what gem is gonna pop-up at the top of the screen.
But, whatever it is you can be sure it’s gonna be a banger.

Deeply customizable

While nowadays businesses decide what's best for their users based of tons of analytics data Plum gives options to tailor each corner of the app to your own personal preferences.
Want the app to always start on Albums page? Not what I'd pick but go ahead!
Don't like the default purple-ish theme? There are many other colors to choose from.
Plum even lets you choose alternative Player skins to take the personalization one step further than any other music app.

Navigate easily

Gone are the days of 4-inch screens when using your phone with one hand was not only possible but also practical. Nowadays even though entire faceplates of the devices are covered by screen it’s impossible to reach upper corners using your thumbs.
To make most common actions easier to perform Plum implements simple gestures which can be performed across any of the main screens:

  • Swipe down to start Queue Builder

  • Swipe up to open tab switcher

  • Swipe left to open Search screen

  • Swipe right to access sorting and other options for the current screen

Organized and clean

It’s easier than ever to add new music intro your library, but how do you keep it organised? How do you make sure the albums you’re looking for stay visible and not drown among thousands of singles and EPs?
Plum gives you numerous options to sort and filter music in your library.
Hate to see singles on the Albums page? Set the minimum number of tracks to hide any releases which don’t qualify the filter.
Want to see albums sorted via release date and grouped by decades? Not a problem at all!

If you grant permission, Plum reads your Apple Music library on-device to let you browse, play, and organize your music (playlists, favourites, folders, queue). This data stays on your device and within Apple's Music framework — we do not upload your Apple Music library to our servers.### Photo library access
If you choose to set custom images (e.g. for playlists or folders), Plum requests access to your photo library to let you select and save images. Photos you select are stored locally on your device.### Spotify account
If you choose to connect a Spotify account, Plum uses Spotify's official sign-in flow (OAuth) to access your Spotify data (e.g. playlists, library) on your behalf. This connection is governed by Spotify's own Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your Spotify password.### Last.fm account
If you choose to connect a Last.fm account for scrobbling, you provide your Last.fm username and password directly to Last.fm's authentication service. Your session credentials are stored securely in your device's Keychain. This connection is governed by Last.fm's own Privacy Policy.### Purchases
Plum offers optional subscriptions and a one-time "Pro" purchase, processed entirely through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). We do not collect or store your payment details — these are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. We only receive confirmation of your purchase/subscription status in order to unlock Pro features.### Analytics and diagnostics
Plum uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to understand feature usage and diagnose crashes. This may include:
- App usage events (e.g. use of favourites, folders, sharing, scrobbling, tab navigation, changelog views)
- Purchase/subscription events
- Crash logs and error reports (not collected in development/debug builds)This data is associated with an anonymous, per-installation identifier and is not linked to your name, email, or other directly identifying information. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) or ad-tracking SDKs, and Plum does not display third-party ads.## Information We Do Not CollectPlum does not request or access your location, camera, microphone, or contacts, and does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework because it does not track you across other apps or websites.## How We Use InformationWe use the information described above to:
- Provide and operate the app's core features
- Diagnose and fix bugs and crashes
- Understand which features are used, to guide improvements
- Verify and unlock purchased subscriptions/Pro features## Data SharingWe do not sell your data. Information is shared only with the service providers necessary to operate the app's features:
- Apple — Apple Music framework, App Store purchases, Photos framework
- Spotify — if you choose to connect your Spotify account
- Last.fm — if you choose to connect your Last.fm account
- Google (Firebase) — analytics and crash reportingEach of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy, linked above.## Data Storage and RetentionMost of your data (music library metadata, playlists, favourites, playback progress, cached images) is stored locally on your device using local storage. Login credentials for connected services are stored in your device's Keychain. Uninstalling the app removes this locally stored data from your device.Analytics and crash data sent to Firebase is retained according to Google's default Firebase retention settings and is not directly linked to your identity.## Your Choices- You can disconnect your Spotify or Last.fm account at any time from within the app's settings.
- You can revoke Plum's access to your Apple Music library or Photos at any time via your device's Settings app.
- You can request deletion of any data associated with your app usage by contacting us at the email below.## Children's PrivacyPlum is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.## Changes to This PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
